Have you ever been driving, and all of a sudden, a big, beautiful, shiny red fire engine comes roaring by with all of the glistening lights and crazy loud sirens?

When it happens to me, I sometimes wonder who is in need of help.  Is there a fire that is removing all of someone’s prized possessions?  Has someone been hurt?  Maybe it is someone that I know.

I wonder what it would be like if we, as men, could see the signs of EMERGENCY in our own relationships.

For example, you know a person that has not been plugged in to conversation and gatherings, or you sense that a friend is not being the husband you know him to be, or even worse, you know that he is doubting in God.

Do we see the flashing lights of distress, or are we hearing the sirens of the urgent need for connection?  It is easier to watch an emergency vehicle go by when you know it is not affecting our own personal lives.

What if you knew it was going to your own neighborhood?  Urgency seems to be more relevant when it is personal.  I hope that when I am needing emergency help from my friends that they will see the signs and send in help.

Who do you know right now that is needing help?

I encourage you to begin the process of prayer over that person and suit up for the emergency at hand.  We are all capable of looking the other way; however, this may be the moment for a miracle.  Stand in your faith and pursue the challenge.

Someone’s victory may depend on you being a first responder!

I love the scripture Esther 4:14:“and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Galatians 6:1-2   Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and  fulfill the law of Christ.
